The Rainbow Shimmers in Broadway’s ‘For Colored Girls…’

The glittering arc of Black women’s experiences comes to life as Ntozake Shange’s for colored girls who have considered suicide/ when the rainbow is enuf, a series of poetic monologues accompanied by dance and music, arrives at Broadway’s Booth Theatre.

Seven women clad in colors of the rainbow share their stories of joy and loss with the audience. The cast features Tendayi Kuumba as The Lady in Brown, Kenita R. Miller as The Lady in Red, Stacey Sargeant as The Lady in Blue, and D. Woods as The Lady in Yellow.
