
On the morning of Thursday, January 14, a beleaguered group of about 25 tenants and their supporters came together for a press conference in front of 308 W. 30th St. to plead for intervention in what they say are dangerous renovations occurring in their building. Attempting to shelter in place per Governor Andrew Cuomo’s mandate, tenants say the risks are nevertheless coming to them via workers and contractors without proper personal protective equipment (PPE), inadequate dust and noise mitigation, and a lack of transparency as evidenced by no posted COVID-19 Safety Plan.
